Family Program
A psychoeducational group for families and loved ones impacted by problem gambling
Insight,
Process,
and
Connection
Problem gambling doesn’t happen in isolation—it impacts partners, parents, friends, and families who often find themselves caught in the confusion and fallout. This four-week psycho-educational group is designed specifically for individuals affected by someone else’s gambling behavior, offering practical tools, and meaningful support in a structured setting.
The program emphasizes Insight, Process, and Connection—helping participants understand what’s happening, learn how to respond effectively, and connect with others who truly “get it.”
Insight
Participants gain a clearer understanding of problem gambling as a behavioral health condition, not a moral failing. Through expert guidance and guest speakers, the group explores how modern online betting platforms, personalized marketing, and 24/7 access intensify risk and prolong harm—not just for gamblers, but for those close to them.
Process
Each session provides practical, step-by-step strategies to reduce harm, protect well-being, and respond with intention. The group focuses on what can be controlled—boundaries, communication, and financial safeguards—while letting go of responsibility for someone else’s choices.
Connection
This is a confidential, supportive space to share experiences, reduce isolation, and learn alongside others navigating similar challenges. Facilitated group discussions encourage reflection, validation, and mutual support without pressure to “fix” anyone.
